Little search engine turns five: congratulations, and please keep up the good work and public service!
Remember the dark days before the blessing of Google was bestowed upon the face of the Web? When the best we could use as far as search engines went was AltaVista? Fortunate that we did not know our own misfortune, in that time! Still, much as I enjoy the youngling, I wish the competition weren't utterly worthless—I mean, I wish there were a real competition to Google—because we must presently live in fear of what we would come to pass if something happened to Google (so that it ceased to perform as a public service), for example if it were taken over by the forces of evil.
